Northern Samar Typhoon hit schools receive new armchairs from CitySavings


Northern Samar Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Manuel Albaño (rightmost) leads the turnover of the brand new armchairs donated by City Savings Bank to Galutan National High School.

City Savings Bank (CitySavings) turned over a total of 120 armchairs to Cawayan National High School and Galutan National High School last March 17 which were severely affected by Typhoon Nona that hit Northern Samar last December 2015.

The turn-over ceremony and Memorandum of Agreement signing was attended by CitySavings Eastern Visayas Regional Business Head Adrian Ruiz, CitySavings Catarman Branch Business Head Richard Gesulga, Northern Samar Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Manuel Albaño and the school heads of the respective schools.

"Thank you so much CitySavings for the donations and for being our partner in addressing the needs of the school", Dr. Albaño said.

Galutan National High School head Teresita Marino shared, "The teaching and non-teaching personnel, students, and stakeholders of Galutan National High School is so grateful and fully recognizes City Savings Bank's exemplary and valuable support to the school's various programs, projects, and activities in achieving the Department of Education's different thrusts and programs".
