A BIG HEART FOR EDUCATION: The warm smiles from New Society National High School educators after receiving 137 teaching kits last June 08 from City Savings Bank spearheaded by its General Santos Branch.

With education at the forefront of City Savings Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, over 130 public school teachers from New Society National High School in General Santos City received teaching kits last June 08.

Teacher Joseph Pason expressed his gratitude to the bank for the donation of visual aid materials and stationeries. Because of his dedication to deliver quality education for his students, he sometimes uses his personal money for instructional materials. “It is my first time to receive a gift in the form of a teaching kit. This may be a simple act of concern for the teachers but we consider it as a great help to our day-to-day school preparations and will lessen our expenses for the coming months. Truly, your institution has a big heart for education.” Pason added.

“We are very grateful to CitySavings for the teaching kits. You are really one of our stakeholders who looks after the welfare of our school.” shared Principal Efren Lemana during the turn over ceremony.

Since 2008, the bank has closely worked with the Department of Education (DepEd) to implement various multi-intervention projects. CitySavings recognizes the teachers’ role in influencing the students to be good leaders of our nation.
