CitySavings Tanjay donates educational tools to Candanaay Elementary School

CitySavings Tanjay turned over an asset donation CSR project last August 18,2014 to Candanaay Elem School. The school which was part of Barangay Candanaay situated at the hinterland part of Ayungon received a TV set with DVD players to be used as aid for the teachers’ instructional materials & student’s tool for education.
The team drove on a very steep road to reach the school where they were warmly welcomed. Majority of the household of Candanaay doesn't have power. Luckily the school was supported by the barangay council to have electricity.
Students from these school walk 2 hours in the morning to reach the school & another 2 hours going back home. They were happy to see for the first time what a television looks like. The teachers also offered a song with their original composition entitled “Swerti Jud Mi” while the students prepared a dance number & cards of appreciation. All were very thankful for the Bank's donation. Indeed, we can do well by doing good.
