CitySavings participates in the Christmas Village of Hope

CitySavings sponsored a miniature bank, a church, and two schools at the Christmas Village of Hope displayed at SM City Cebu's Northwing Atrium.

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, CitySavings sponsored four Christmas houses in the form of a miniature bank, church and two schools in the Christmas Village of Hope at the SM City Cebu Northwing Atrium.

Mr. Clayton and Mrs. Joji Tugonon from Cebu City started collecting miniature Christmas houses & trains back in 1993. The Tugonon couple's first meeting with the pediatric cancer patients from Cebu Cancer Institute, Kythe partner hospital in the Visayas, opened up something in their hearts and spurred change for future beneficiaries of a major fundraising project. In 2009, Clayton and Joji proceeded to share their collection for the benefit of the children with cancer.

The Christmas Village of Hope aims to raise funds for children under the Kythe Foundation to help with the patients' laboratory, chemotherapy and other medical needs.

Donors can choose the Christmas houses or trains they wish to adopt or sponsor for P5,000. Other miniature house are available at P10,000, P20,000 for the train and P30,000 for the billboard.

The Christmas Village of Hope – a whimsical miniature village of snow, houses, and trains festively decorated with snow and tinsel can be seen from November 7 to January 6 at the SM City Cebu Northwing Atrium during the Christmas season exhibit.

CitySavings considers the opportunity to be part of this fundraising a blessing to help cancer-stricken kids have a chance to experience the joy and spirit of the Christmas season, and the hope of having a normal life.
