Students & teachers from Bohol earthquake – hit areas of Sagbayan & Tubigon, Bohol were more than happy to receive their new classrooms from Aboitiz Foundation in partnership with City Savings Bank last January 21 & 22.

The beneficiary schools were Canmaya Centro Elementary School & Ubojan Elementary School, Sagbayan Bohol; & Tubigon West Central School, Tubigon, Bohol.

The turnover ceremonies were attended by the officials from the Department of Education, local government, school principals, teachers & students. Joining them are Aboitiz Foundation’s Sonny Carpio, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer & CitySavings’ Ramnyl Cahate, Branch Business Head for Tagbilaran.

“Our interventions in education are always centered on nurturing a commitment to learning. Through these, we hope to inspire more students to study hard & appreciate more the value of learning, & impress upon them that one never stops learning.” Carpio shared.
